Georgia softball (36-17, 12-12 SEC) has wrapped its regular season and will begin its postseason sprint with some conference action in Lexington, Ky.

The Bulldogs earned the 9-seed in the SEC Tournament. They will be facing an 8-seeded LSU (37-16, 13-11) in the second round Wednesday, May 6.

First pitch is set for 8 p.m. at John Cropp Stadium. It will be the final game of the second day. The tournament will be broadcast on the SEC Network through the quarterfinals. The semifinals and championship will be broadcast on ESPN.

The winner of the contest will advance to play top-seeded Oklahoma on Thursday, May 7 at 8 p.m.

Georgia last played LSU on March 23, 2025, where they walked away with an 11-3 mercy-rule win in five innings.

The Tigers lead the all-time series with the Bulldogs, 47-28. In the last 10 years, Georgia has won four out of 19 games against LSU.

A ticket to attend every session is as low as $80 on StubHub. A ticket to attend just session three, which includes Georgia's precursor game of Tennessee vs. the winner of South Carolina/Ole Miss at 5 p.m., is as low as $8 for general admission in the outfield and $36 for the grandstands.

John Cropp Stadium can fit roughly 2,000 spectators.

This is Tony Baldwin's fifth conference tournament. Georgia has not won a conference tournament title — it's only one — since 2014 under Lu Harris-Champer.

In 2022 and 2023, the Bulldogs were one and done with a 9-5 loss to Ole Miss and a 2-1 extra inning loss to South Carolina, respectively. In 2024, they made it two rounds after defeating Auburn 6-5 in a 14-inning stretch before falling to Florida 9-4. In 2025, they went the same distance with a mercy-rule 8-0 win over Kentucky before falling to Arkansas 5-1.

Last year, Jack Turner Stadium was the host of the SEC Tournament. The conference is set to move to a neutral location — Toyota Field in Madison, Ala. — in 2027 for through 2030. This will be the first time since 2004 that the postseason stint isn't played on an SEC campus.
