As anticipation builds for the 2026 college football season, former Tennessee Titans general manager Ran Carthon and NFL draft analyst Ryan Wilson are already identifying the top NFL prospects to watch this fall.
Of the 32 first-round selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, 19 of them were offensive prospects. With the talent pool once again expected to be dominated by offensive talent, which Gators make the cut as prospects to monitor as college football season approaches?
Jadan Baugh was a name to keep an eye out for, according to both Carthon and Wilson during the season. As a unanimous decision to make both lists, Baugh has the potential to be the best back to come out of this class.
Featured with Baugh were Missouri's Ahmad Hardy, Ole Miss' Kewan Lacy, Louisville's Isaac Brown, Georgia's Nate Frazier, Miami's Mark Fletcher, and BYU's LJ Martin as the premier ball carriers in the country.
Last season, Baugh broke out for the Gators, rushing for 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns. He also added 210 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns, strengthening his case as one of the nation's best offensive weapons.
With Florida starting a first-year starter at quarterback, Baugh should once again be the centerpiece of the Gators' offense. A productive 2026 campaign would not only strengthen Florida's offense but could also solidify his standing as one of the top running back prospects in the 2027 NFL Draft.
