Wake is in the Steel City tonight for an ACC road matchup against a Pittsburgh team that has lost 3 games in a row and 6 of their last 7. This is currently a Q2 game, but Pitt is pretty close to the Q3 line (135)—that doesn’t really matter because Wake cannot afford to lose this one either way. With the game being on the road, the metrics have this one as a coinflip, but losing to a team in the triple digits of both the NET and KenPom would effectively end the season for the Deacs (barring an ACC Tournament run). The Panthers don’t do much well, but one thing they are good at is offensive rebounding—Pitt is rebounding almost 35% of their missed shots this season, the 65th best rate in the nation. That has been an issue all season for the Deacs, who are 309th in the nation in preventing offensive rebounds.
