Remember the 2nd quarter sack when most of the game thread was saying "Why did Kyler hold the ball so long?" and the usual suspects were like "There's no one open".

Well, here's that play. At least 2 open. The Dortch pass is open if it's timed but we don't do that. But Trey wideass open.

I think that was actually an attempt to throw it deep to Wilson because he was 1 on 1. I don't blame Kyler for this one, the tackle didn't do his job and Kyler had no time to react.

It's a clear out and there doesn't seem to be a built-in adjustment for the soft coverage. The DBS are basically playing off the verts knowing the Cardinals won't adjust.
Yeah but it didn’t even effective clear out for McBride imo.

We can either believe that it's not Kyler and both Kliff and Petzing are running very similar isolated route concepts from a limited tree (5 yard stops, crossers, go's, digs) even though they are from very different backgrounds. Which seems like some coincidence.

Or that both adjusted how they pass the ball to suit Kyler's abilities.

Considering that would require reading a defense and going through reads, that seems unlikely.
Or that at game speed kyler just can't diagnose the coverage quick enough to know which branch on the route tree the WR will run.
So they run sandlot plays. May as well give kyler a stick and let him draw the plays up in the huddle.

I think there is merit in this comment.
