The scene now shifts south to the City of Brotherly Love as the Philadelphia 76ers look to climb out of an 0-2 hole against the New York Knicks. The Sixers suffered a blowout loss in Game 1 before battling back in Game 2, but ultimately falling short.

Philadelphia did not have Joel Embiid in Game 2 as the Sixers ruled him out due to hip and ankle issues earlier in the day. He is listed as questionable for Game 3 due to a right ankle sprain as well as right hip soreness.

Embiid returned from an appendectomy in Game 4 of Philadelphia's Round 1 series with the Boston Celtics as he was able to find his way back to the court. He was playing well as he found his rhythm and groove, but was laboring a bit in Game 1 of this Knicks series before not being able to participate in shootaround the morning of Game 2.
