The FSU baseball team is headed back to Pensacola for some fall ball, the Seminoles announced on Tuesday. They will be playing the Auburn Tigers on Oct. 10 at Blue Wahoos Stadium.
It will be Florida State's third straight year playing a scrimmage at Blue Wahoos Stadium, with them previously playing against Auburn in 2024 and the Mississippi State Bulldogs in 2025, both of which were sellouts. Tickets for this year's game will go on sale on Aug. 11 at 9 a.m. CT.
The Seminoles went 40-19 during the 2026 season, getting eliminated by the St. John's Red Storm in the Tallahassee Regional. Auburn also made the NCAA Tournament last season, losing to the Ole Miss Rebels in the Auburn Super Regional.
FSU's roster will look quite different after eight players were taken in the 2026 MLB Draft and nine more entered the transfer portal. Link Jarrett and the rest of the staff replaced them with a promising transfer portal and high school recruiting class.
The transfer haul was ranked as one of the 20th best in the country by 64Analytics and features several potential stars in pitcher Cayden Suchy and outfielder Ty Peeples. With the entire weekend rotation getting drafted, Suchy will have a great chance to become FSU's Friday night starter, with Peeples also looking like a starter.
While their top two high school signees were drafted, FSU is still bringing in several talented players who will be looking to contribute as freshmen. Infielder Yodelkis Quevedo and outfielder Genson Veras both have plenty of power, and right-handed pitchers Donovan Thiery and Brayden Harris have the stuff to earn playing time.
