The FSU baseball program has had great success using the transfer portal under Link Jarrett, and their 2026 class is once again exciting. The Seminoles added nine transfers this offseason, and 64Analytics believes it is one of the best hauls in the country.

With the transfer portal winding down, they released their ranking of the 25 best classes, and FSU checked in at No. 17. They are the fourth-highest-ranked ACC team, trailing the No. 13 Miami Hurricanes, No. 15 North Carolina Tar Heels, and No. 16 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. They are one spot ahead of the Florida Gators.

One of the strengths of FSU's class is the quality of each commitment. Four of their nine signees are among the top 250 players to enter the portal. They also did a great job filling holes on the roster after the 2026 MLB Draft created several.

Their two biggest additions are pitcher Cayden Suchy and outfielder Ty Peeples. Suchy was the Big East Pitcher of the Year at UConn and will be in the mix to be FSU's Friday night starter. The lefty went 5-3 with a 2.72 ERA over 89.1 innings, finishing with 105 strikeouts. He held opponents to a .231 batting average, walking 23 and hitting four in 15 starts.

Peeples spent his true freshman season with the Georgia Bulldogs and was one of the top recruits in the 2025 recruiting class. While he only took 17 at-bats, he has tremendous upside, and the Seminoles are banking on regular playing time allowing him to become a potent bat at the top of the lineup.

Two more critical adds were shortstop Cooper Malamazian and first baseman Nick Barron, who are both expected to be starters for FSU. The Seminoles are also bringing in some talented high school recruits, signing Baseball America's No. 19-ranked class.
