Mike Sando's articles in the Athletic today and last week list the top 11 free agent signings of 2022 and 2023 by APY. Interesting to see the results of bringing in high-dollar free agents, even after such a short time:

Tremaine Edmunds for $18m is a firing offense for Poles on its own.

The big money FA signs somehow just doesn't work as good in the NFL as they are in the NBA. My guess is football players rely on schemes and coachng much more than basketball players.

Patriots owe JC Jackson a prorated portion of $1.5M salary and can cut him after this year with no dead cap money. And if he's going to turn it around anywhere, going back to New England is prabably the best place. Pretty brilliant move from a risk/reward standpoint.
