ACCIDENT — Four from Garrett County were selected to Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches all-star games next week.

Northern had three players make MSABC squads, and Southern had one.

The Huskies' Landon Yoder made the West team for the Class Game, held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at First Responder Field in Olney, in a senior all-star game.

In 42 2/3 innings, Yoder posted a 3.61 ERA with 37 strikeouts, and he slashed .370/.465/.397 in 73 at-bats with 27 hits and 12 RBIs.

A pair of Huskies will play in the Futures Game next Sunday at 6 p.m. at Joe Cannon Stadium.

The game features sophomores and juniors and will include Jake Chambers and Elliott Myers-Shirer.

Chambers slashed .476/.583/.746 with 30 hits and 25 RBIs in 73 at-bats. In 11 1/3 innings on the mound, he posted a 0.62 ERA with 12 punchouts.

Myers-Shirer slashed .351/.380/.500 with 26 hits and 20 RBIs in 80 at-bats.

Southern infielder Cole Parks was picked for the Prospects Game, which is slated to begin at 3 p.m. at the same site.

Parks batted .176 with 10 RBIs and 10 runs for the Rams this spring.
