CUMBERLAND — Allegany and Garrett Colleges combined for eight All-Region 20, Division II baseball selections.
Each school had one on the first team, two second team and one honorable mention selection.
Noah Broadwater earned first-team honors for the Lakers.
The Keyser graduate led Region 20 in hits (75), doubles (19), RBIs (88), total bases (138), batting average (.469) and slugging percentage (.863).
He finished seventh in NJCAA Division II in RBIs, ninth in average and was 14th in slugging and on-base percentage (.558).
Ivan Sypa represented ACM on the first-team.
Sypa led Region 20 with 103 strikeouts and 12.31 strikeouts per game.
He posted a 2.99 ERA in 75 1/3 innings and held opponents to a .246 average.
Bryce Madden and Grayden Gillott earned second-team selections for Garrett.
Madden (Allegany High) tossed 56 1/3 innings, posting a 5.11 ERA with 51 strikeouts.
He took 99 at-bats, slashing .384/.457/.495 with 38 hits and 23 RBIs.
Gillott slashed .341/.564/.431 with 42 hits and 23 RBIs in 123 at-bats.
Duke Psoras and Chris ***** were second-team honorees for the Trojans.
Psoras was third in the region with 15 home runs, and finished in the top 10 in hits (60), runs (54), RBIs (55) and total bases (118).
***** led Region 20 with a 2.54 ERA and finished sixth with 58 punchouts.
Allegany's Frank Diaz and Garrett's Hunter Dakan received honorable mentions.
Diaz slashed .342/.418/.523 and was second in triples (4) and fifth in doubles (14).
Dakan's 4.75 ERA was eighth-best, striking out 47 across 55 innings.
