Former Green Bay Packers cornerback Rasul Douglas, who entered the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017, is returning to the NFC East for the 2026 season.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Douglas will sign a one-year deal worth up to $3.8 million with the Washington Commanders.

The Commanders are not on the Packers' regular season schedule in 2026, so any matchup with Douglas would have to come in the postseason.

Douglas spent nearly three seasons in Green Bay, first arriving as a practice squad signing in 2021 before quickly starring in a starting role. The best three-year stretch of his pro career came with the Packers between 2021 and 2023. Over 36 games, Douglas intercepted 10 passes -- his most with any single team.

The Packers traded Douglas to the Buffalo Bills in 2023. When his contract expired following the 2024 season, Douglas signed with the Miami Dolphins, spending the 2025 season in Miami on a one-year deal.

If Douglas appears in a regular season game with the Commanders, Washington will become his sixth NFL team.

Douglas, who turns 31 in August, has 19 career interceptions over 121 career games. He won a Super Bowl while with the Eagles and has played in 11 career playoff games.
