A former Nebraska defensive lineman is planning on entering the transfer portal. James Williams is planning on entering the transfer portal after only one season at Florida State.
Williams spent two years at Nebraska after starting his college career at Iowa Central Community College. In 16 games, he recorded 18 tackles, 8.0 for loss, and 7.0 sacks.
In his one season in Tallahassee, he recorded 19 total tackles and 1.5 sacks. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
The NCAA Transfer Portal opens on January 2 and will close on January 16. This will be the only transfer portal window for 2026.
