Nebraska basketball freshman guard Quentin Rhymes entered the transfer portal on Tuesday. Rhymes sat out this past season as a redshirt.
He was the first high school commitment of Nebraska’s 2025 recruiting class, averaging 22.4 points per game as a senior at Hillcrest Prep out of Phoenix, Arizona.
The three-star prospects signed with Nebraska over New Mexico, Boise State, UNLV and UC Santa Barbara. This marks the Huskers' first departure via the transfer portal.
The transfer portal officially opened on Tuesday and will remain open for the next 15-days. The Huskers will enter this phase of the off-season in a unique position.
The team is coming off a Sweet 16 appearance, and coach Fred Hoiberg looks to have the program headed in the right direction. It will be intriguing to see what other roster moves will be made in the future.
