Some believe Giannis Antetokounmpo could request a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks this summer after the team lost to the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs for the second straight year.

Since winning the championship in 2021 against the Phoenix Suns, the Bucks have won just one postseason series. To make matters worse, Damian Lillard will miss a chunk of next season after tearing his Achilles in Game 4 versus the Pacers.

If Antetokounmpo requests a trade, former NBA exec and current writer at The Athletic, John Hollinger, thinks the Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, San Antonio Spurs, and Toronto Raptors are the "favorites" to land the two-time MVP.

The Bucks signed Antetokounmpo to a three-year, $175 million extension in October 2023. Antetokounmpo has spent his entire career in Milwaukee. He's a two-time MVP, a one-time Finals MVP, a one-time Defensive Player of the Year, and a nine-time All-Star with career averages of 23.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks.

A future Hall of Famer, Antetokounmpo will make $54.1 million next season. He declined to speak about his future after the Bucks lost Game 5 to the Pacers.

"I'm not going to do this," Antetokounmpo said. "I'm not going to do that. I know how it's going to translate. I don't know, man. I wish I was still playing. I wish I was still competing and going back and working out."

It will be fascinating to see what Antetokounmpo does this summer. If he requests a trade, the Bucks will receive calls from several teams.
