Former LSU pitcher Kade Anderson continues to impress at the Double-A level in the minor leagues. He plays for the Arkansas Travelers, an affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, and logged his sixth start of the year on Friday.

The right-handed pitcher threw 5.2 innings in the first game of a doubleheader on Friday against the Tulsa Drillers. In the seven-inning contest, Anderson hurled four scoreless frames and went 5.2 innings total. He picked up nine strikeouts, his second-best single-season total in 2026, and picked up his third win.

Among qualified pitchers in the Texas League, Anderson ranks first with a 0.60 ERA, a 0.67 WHIP, and 47 strikeouts. Opposing teams hit .150 against him, the lowest in the league.

The Mariners often call up top pitchers straight from Double-A. If Anderson stays on his current pace, he could make his major league debut before the end of the 2026 season.
