Former Florida State basketball forward Chauncey Wiggins has committed to the Gonzaga Bulldogs out of the transfer portal, according to On3's Joe Tipton.
Wiggins was initially out of eligibility following the 2025-26 season, but still entered his name in the transfer portal. That decision paid off when a judge in Colorado granted an injunction that gave all 2022 high school recruits a fifth season of eligibility.
It did not change the transfer rules, forcing other players to file another suit to be eligible to enter the portal, something former quarterback Tommy Castellanos has said he plans to do. Wiggins will have one season of eligibility at Gonzaga.
The forward was one of FSU's best players during the past season after starting his career with the Clemson Tigers. He averaged 13.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, starting 30 of the 32 games he played in. He shot 48.1% from the floor, 38.9% from 3-point range, and 85.1% from the free-throw line.
While FSU likely would have loved to have him back, they could not count on him having eligibility and filled out their roster earlier this offseason. Luke Loucks signed five transfers and eight high school recruits, giving them a top 20 high school class and a top 10 transfer class, according to On3.
