Former FSU baseball infielder Kelvyn Paulino Jr. has found his new home, committing to the Indiana Hoosiers on Friday.

Paulino spent just one season with the Seminoles and was one of the top players in the 2025 recruiting class, being seen as a major get for the Seminoles. He was ranked as the No. 53 overall player and No. 3 third baseman by Perfect Game.

He will have four seasons of eligibility at Indiana but will be eligible for the 2027 MLB Draft. The move completes a trade of sorts between the two programs. FSU landed former Indiana starting shortstop Cooper Malamazian in the portal, who is expected to start for the Seminoles next season.

Paulino played in 32 games for FSU with 26 starts, mostly serving as their designated hitter. He finished the year hitting .275 with one home run, six doubles, two triples, and 21 RBI. He had a .356 on-base percentage and struckout 22 times to 12 walks.

His usage decreased during May, and he did not see the field during the postseason as his bat cooled off and they could never find a position for him on the field. He was one of the first FSU players to enter the portal after the season ended.
