Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and CBS color commentator Tony Romo was arrested in his native Wisconsin on suspicion of operating a vehicle while under the influence.

Romo was arrested and later released on bond after performing poorly on a field sobriety test Thursday, July 23, according to a police report from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office. Formal charges have not yet been filed. The charge in Wisconsin for drunken driving is OWI, operating under the influence. Romo is due in court Sept. 21.

The 46-year-old Romo is the lead analyst for CBS' NFL coverage since 2017. Before that, he made four Pro Bowl appearances during a 13-year NFL career, entirely with Dallas. Romo is the Cowboys' franchise leader in career touchdown passes with 248 and is second behind Dak Prescott in passing yards with 34,183.
