The Kansas City Chiefs are moving forward this offseason with the return of offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. The addition of Bieniemy also means the official departure of Matt Nagy, who had found a new home ahead of the 2026 season.

According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Nagy has agreed to terms to join the New York Giants as their new offensive coordinator next season. The Giants recently hired a new head coach, John Harbaugh, who spent 18 years with the Baltimore Ravens.

Nagy has been the Chiefs' offensive coordinator since 2023, experiencing mixed results during his tenure. He was in contention for head coaching opportunities around the league, completing interviews with numerous teams this offseason.

"Matt (Nagy) and I have a great relationship, and here he sits. Before the season even started here, I knew that he wanted an opportunity to have his own show," said Chiefs head coach Andy Reid during his recent press conference, "He's been a head coach, he was Coach of the Year, this guy – all the things I've said about him, I still feel about him. There's nothing different there."

The Giants previously had another former Chiefs coaching staff member, Mike Kafka, as their offensive coordinator and interim head coach.
