On Monday, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the New York Giants are working out a trio of free-agent wide receivers, including Odell Beckham Jr. and former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. Smith-Schuster spent his first five NFL seasons with the Steelers after they selected him in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft.
There was some thought that the 29-year-old receiver might consider a return to the Steelers as his best seasons were in Pittsburgh. In 2018, finished fifth in the league with 111 receptions and fifth in the NFL with 1,426 receiving yards. Smith-Schuster also had a 97-catch season in 2019 with the Steelers.
Smith-Schuster has an interest in joining the Giants due to current offensive coordinator Matt Nagy. Nagy was Smith-Schuster's OC with the Kansas City Chiefs the last two seasons. In addition to Smith-Schuster and Beckham Jr., the Giants are also working out Braxton Berrios.
