After spending the first nine years of his career with the Cleveland Browns, David Njoku is taking his time and surveying the free agent market before deciding which team he'll sign with next.

He visited with the Baltimore Ravens back in March, and now he's heading out West, taking a free agent visit with the Los Angeles Chargers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Njoku, who has racked up over 4,000 receiving yards and 34 touchdowns in his career, could be a valuable addition to a Chargers offense in need of new weaponry.

The former Browns first-round pick was usurped this past season by 2025 third-round pick Harold Fannin Jr. With Njoku's contract set to expire, Cleveland had no issue letting him walk.

Njoku will be 30 in July, but still has plenty of good football left in him. Despite a smaller role in 2025, he still caught 33 passes for 293 yards and four touchdowns.

Spotrac expects the veteran tight end to land a two-year, $19.9 million contract on the open market. We'll see if that's something the Chargers are willing to hand him.

Los Angeles has a few NFL-caliber tight ends on the roster. Oronde Gadsden showed promise as a rookie, and the team signed former Ravens tight end Charlie Kolar in free agency.

Will the Chargers round out their position group with an Njoku addition? We should find out shortly.
