Former Boston Celtics short-timer RJ Luis to join Yam Madar at LSU

Picture the Boston Celtics, but in the southern United States. And as a college basketball team. We are talking about Celtics short-timer RJ Luis, who was briefly a two way forward for Boston before the start of the 2025-26 NBA season. The former Big East Player of the Year did not play any games for the Celtics during his cup of coffee with the team, not making the cut in training camp for Boston's last campaign.

Part of the trade that saw Boston deal vet forward Georges Niang into the Utah Jazz in the 2025 NBA offseason as part of several cap-clearing moves made by the front office, Luis will now suit up with Madar in a college context that is increasingly serving as an alternative farm league for pro players looking for a way into the NBA.
