I heard he went out on the boat to see if he really can't hit the ocean if he fell out of a boat. But, he managed to slip on the deck and hurt his knee. While falling he hit his head and got a concussion. Word is they had to call John Skelton to come tow him to shore but they spent hours waiting for Skelton to successfully throw a line from Skeltons boat to Kolb's boat. After days going bye, they called Ryan Lindley to come help but Lindley couldn't even figure out how to get to the airport, let alone get to Texas..........oh man I could go on for pages and pages.

So it was him, wow. Some people for whatever reason were speculating it was his brother, if he even has one.

Funny, that's the clearest headed I've seen him since we traded for him.

He gave what he had- he wasn't the evaluator or the play caller

we willingly took ourselves out of any chance of winning the Manning sweepstakes to set fire to 7 million dollars for Glass Joe.

I would go to the one of the casinos here in AZ and the dealers would always talk about how he would get so mad he would get beat betting $25 per hand and lose. All said he was rude to everyone and would never tip the dealers. Did the players on roster even like him when he was playing here?

I dont get the Kolb hate... That fiasco was 100% on Whiz and Graves. Andy Reid played them like Beethoven. Kolb played hard here and took some even harder shots. I have no issues with him. It's not his fault he sucks we should have known better. Then again the same guy who started him also started Max Hall...

I agree Bert. I don't blame Kolb one bit for taking the money, who wouldn't?

I also don't recall too much lip from Kevin when he was here about anything. He just didn't have the tools to be an elite NFL starting QB, even though he was sort of paid like one.

Still, glad he's gone from here. Feel bad that his career ended because of head injuries.

I'm from Hawaii but when I lived in AZ and TX also, when you went out on a boat you took a cooler full of beer. Am I wrong? So you're having a good time with friends, on the water and in the sun and drinking a few cold ones. That much, at least in my life time is a common diversion.
I'm not saying that drinking too much and driving or boating is a good but understandable to a point. How do you know when you should stop in that situation?

I'm not saying that it's OK. But it's not always clear especially when everyone is doing the same. Maybe a personal breathalyzer?

Grew up in rural Illinois that had a lake nearby. It was pretty common with everyone to be out on boat, drinking a few, & skiing in the summer. Never had issues with drunk boaters crashing or any other mishaps for that matter. Now they have a lake patrol & pull peeps over randomly. Nice cash cow for them I guess.

BWI - When I first read that I thought, "Bowling while intoxicated".

Is there any other way?

You can still bring a cooler of beer out on the lake... you just can't be drinking & be the one driving the boat.

I live near the Colorado river and we have a lot of visitors come here with their boats and jet skis.

BWI is strictly enforced here and with good reason. It's very hot and people in boats have a tendency to over do it while on vacation. We have quite a few gruesome accidents from drunk drivers whether they are driving boats or jet skis.

I will not go on the river on any holiday weekend. Not worth the chance.

You're supposed to use the same sense you use when drinking and driving.

You don't do it. If somehow you do, you only drink 1-2.

Everybody that isn't captaining/driving the boat, can drink of course, and when you're outside you should always have more then beer in the cooler. Maybe some soda or lemonade or something, and definitely lots of water.

Lots of people die, hell I remember one year, I think 1993, 2-3 spring training players, Tim Crews, Bob Ojeda, and Steve Olin, died when they got into a boat accident. I think it was Saguaro lake, but might have been one of the others around here.

I think one guy survived, but didn't play in the majors again. Something like that.

Drinking around water is really risky, if done stupidly. Also since many people driving boats later have to drive their cars hauling tons of gear behind them they are just a train wreck waiting to happen.
