That 3rd down catch was HUGE where he got his hands under the ball and secured it. Five catches for 119 yards... 24 yards per catch!

Floyd is what's going to make Fitz's departure next season not hurt so bad.

I know Larry's contract makes the transition to Floyd necessary, but not in the first game!

There are a lot of people on this board that could start eating crow today and maybe in 10 years eat enough to compensate for all the harsh words they had for Floyd when we drafted him lol

Larry's speed seems to be going downhill, fast. Hopefully it's a minor injury that's causing it this time, not age.

Teams are going to start catching on and considering Floyd the WR1 of this team. At that point, we're going to need Fitz to take advantage of favorable matchups.

This isn't news. We have so many weapons. You've got to pick your poison when your defending us. No one is gonna cover Floyd with their #2 majority of the game.

It'll start going the other way real soon. #1s will be draped all over floyd, I'd even guess within the next few weeks

Yeah he is very much the real deal a legit #1 in the NFL. Going the draft the player I wanted more than anything was Luke Kuechly but he went a few picks ahead of us. I want thrilled or upset with the pick. But if was def the right call

Look for Floyd to be the one facing double teams by the second half of the season and Fitz suddenly becoming more productive again.

Part of me wonders if this will be a season-long trend. Stay away from Fitz so he has a mediocre year, gain more leverage in contract negotiations. Of course, it could just piss him off and make him want to move to another team.

Or... they just learned their lesson from last year (INTs when forcing the ball to Fitz).

You seriously think BA would do that on purpose just ignore a weapon like that. Cardinal fans really need to come to terms with the fact he's old. The guy can flat out not get separation like he used to now is he still good? Yes but at this point in there careers Floyd is just better and a guy like John Brown is light years faster

I think he would focus on young guys that he knows will be here next year, so they can build chemistry and confidence. I don't think he would do it for contract negotiating purposes.

I always loved the Floyd pick and knew he was going to be good. I just wish we could get Larry more involved.

Yeah he had a great game, I didn't like the pick but I have to admit he has become a legit #1 NFL Wr.

The pick should have been Riley Reiff. And Tyron Smith should have been selected instead of Patrick Peterson. When you haven't had a high level left tackle since Luis Sharpe decided to become a full time drug addict, you have to address the need.

Love Floyd and yes he's a star. But that sick one-handed catch and then the over the shoulder grab for 22 yards..man, that's the Fitz I've grown to love over the years. I know it's a business and I don't pretend to know the future, but god I'm gonna miss that guy when he's gone.

Not for me, losing Fitz will, in a way, seem like losing a great friend that I'm really fond of. I know the NFL is a business and keeping his giant contract will hinder the team, but the thought of kicking him to the curb because he's lost some of his skill and speed just makes me sad. Not TangoDancer sad... but sad nonetheless.....:)

I absolutely love what he has done for this franchise and will never forget it.

He has a great of combination of speed and power. His hands have really improved since college. I love the threat of the WR screen for both him and John Brown, two different threats to defend. It looks like Arians knows when to use them because both guys were effective on the screen last night.

Reiff is really bit that good and hindsight is 20/20 at the time the smith pick was considered a huge reach and no Patrick Peterson and Floyd were the right picks those guys are stars
