Title is meant to say DUI, not drive. My mistake for posting on my phone.

Car in gear with foot on brake, head back, eyes closed. Tony Larussa did the same thing a few years prior to his stint in the D'backs front office.

"Floyd was arrested on suspicion of two counts of DUI, one count of obstructing a roadway and one count of failure to obey a police officer."

The charges seem a bit excessive, but he is a repeat offender.

I feel bad for the guy and have no problem with people watching the video but I personally just can't, and to me what is wrong with the media releasing such stuff. Knowing he got busted should be enough information and I do not need to get any more personal information on something which is a low point of a man's life and something which could have endangered someone else's life, it's not funny. As a Cardinal fan I am not happy and think what the front office did was right

Agreed. I wish someone would eradicate TMZ lol.

Jurecki indicating that he's likely going to get hit with an extreme DUI.

I'm not sure what inferiorities me the most: the DUI (adding to an already long list of alcohol-related infractions), or not taking responsibility when the Cards offered help. There wasn't another logical outcome than to cut Him. I applaud MB, BA and Keim for doing what they did. They shouldn't be judged negatively.

As for Floyd, I hope he gets help. All signs point to this being more pathological than buzzards luck.

How did it get to the media in the first place?

I doubt this is a one time problem and I agree it appears to be more than alcohol, but who knows. I have wondered all season what was going on in his personal life for him to have underperformed so dramatically over this, his contract year. He was so obviously not right all season. Maybe this 2nd chance will set him straight but would not shock me if he continues to struggle until he gets whatever help he needs.

On a side note, the headline is why I can't stand today's sensationalistic media. "Shocking video". There's nothing shocking about it. It's a drunk guy passed out behind a wheel and about what I expected.

It's TMZ but it's also something that has been done for over 20 years now because studies show that public embarassment is actually a somewhat effective method of getting DUI offenders to get help.

I can remember ages ago my mom was considering moving to Oregon and started getting a local paper there sent to us in California so she could track the area she was considering(we didn't move). The first thing we noticed was the local paper put pictures of people who'd been arrested for DUI's in the paper. It was very controversial but they apparently had evidence that suggested people were more likely to seek help if they knew that was going to happen.

I don't know if a video is overstepping that line or not but that is the original reason behind it. TMZ of course does it for financial gain now.

I like how the media refers to him as NE Patriots receiver Michael Floyd. Glad he isn't the Cardinals problem anymore.

We owe the Patriots a thank you for picking up the remaining salary left on Floyd's contract along with all of his problems.

After Chandler Jones' synthetic weed melt-down/freak-out last year I'm sure there were Patriots fans saying the exact same thing about the Cardinals when we traded for him in the offseason.

Either fortunately or unfortunately depending how you look at it there was no video footage to go along with that incident.

He is completely out of it. I don't think alcohol is the main problem here. I think he is on xanax or a muscle relaxer of some sort, probably mixed with alcohol. This NOT just booze.

refusing to take a test leads me to believe the same.
