Florida State offers 2028 in-state edge

The Florida State Seminoles are firmly in recruitment mode as official visits and camps are taking place. On Wednesday, 2028 edge Malcolm Mccarthur revealed that FSU had extended him a scholarship offer after attending a camp on their campus.

"After a great camp at @FSUFootball and a great conversation with @Coach_Norvell I’m a blessed to receive an offer from Florida State University," said Mccarthur on social media.

Although he's not a ranked prospect, Mccarthur has eyes on him within the Sunshine State. He's attended camps with the Florida Gators, USF Bulls, UCF Knights, and Florida Atlantic Owls.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder had a pretty strong outing as a sophomore Mainland High School in Daytona Beach. He finished with 47 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, three sacks, two pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
