FLINTSTONE — Five Flintstone batters produced multiple hits in a 9-4, five-inning win over Northern in a Mountain League Baseball Senior Division game Wednesday.
Braxtyn Hohn and Silas Leith led the way with a double and single each, and Wyatt Twigg, Eli Klavuhn and Braxton Kisamore had two singles apiece. Leith and Twigg both scored twice.
Carson Wilhelm was the winning pitcher, allowing two run on four hits in three innings with seven strikeouts.
Northern’s Mason Wagner finished 2 for 3 with three RBIs, and Caleb Yoder singled twice and scored two times. Wagner was dealt the loss on the bump.
Flintstone (9-3) is at Westernport on Monday at 6 p.m.
Northern (3-7-2) faces Personal Best at Memorial Field on Friday at 6 p.m.
Junior Division Flintstone 20, Bedford 0
POTOMAC PARK — Big performances by Noah Swadley, Chase Mallow and Brody Norris powered Flintstone to a four-inning romp of Bedford in Junior Division action on Wednesday at Holler Field.
The trio had two hits and three RBIs each, with Norris and Mallow producing doubles. Mason Kisamore drove in two, and Norris and Lane Humbertston scored three times each.
Mallow and Swadley also combined to pitch a no-hitter. Mallow struck out five in two innings, and Swadley fanned three in two frames.
Bedford’s Mason Bullington was dealt the loss pitching.
Flintstone (10-1) takes on the Travel Mug Sluggers at Northern High on Monday at 6 p.m.
Bedford (3-9) is at the Sluggers on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Casselman Valley 2 TM Sluggers 2
SALISBURY, Pa. — Casselman Valley and the Travel Mug Sluggers played to a tie in a Junior Division game Wednesday.
Casselman Valley took a 2-0 lead in the third on an RBI single by Teddy Baer followed by an error.
The Sluggers answered in the fourth, plating a pair via an error and a run-scoring groundout by Jaxon Flanagan.
Neither team scored over the final two frames.
Baer went the distance on the mound surrendering two runs (one earned) on four hits in six frames, fanning five and walking six.
Sluggers starting pitcher Owen Workman gave up two runs on eight hits with six strikeouts to five walks in five innings. Errice Weeks pitched a scoreless sixth.
Casselman Valley held a 9-4 edge in hits. Landon Mull, Tanner Weimer and Baer had two hits each. Mull doubled.
Casselman Valley (5-5-1) hosts Hampshire on Monday at 7 p.m.
The Travel Mug Sluggers (5-8-1) head to Westernport to face Amoroso’s on Friday at 6 p.m.
