First career shutout: Vote for the C&I Girls Hockey Player of the Week

Welcome to our latest Cape Cod and Islands High School Girls Hockey Players of the Week Poll.

High school sports fans can vote for which girls hockey player they think was a standout during the previous week.

The poll will be open through Thursday. The winners will be announced every Friday along with the new poll.

Rules of the Road​

Votes must be cast via the Cape Cod Times website/mobile sites. Votes submitted via email and social media will NOT be accepted. To vote for this week’s Players of the Week, scroll down on this page.

Riley Precourt, Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Cod Academy/St. John Paul II​

Precourt won her second poll of the season with 36% of the votes. She scored two goals and had one assist in a win over East Bridgewater.

This week's candidates​

Eliza Belle Carastia, Martha's Vineyard​

Belle Carastia made 27 saves in a 2-1 win over Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Cod Academy/St. John Paul II.

Violet Cox, Falmouth​

Cox finished with two goals and two assists in a 5-0 victory over Nauset/Monomoy.

Paige Fowler, Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Cod Academy/St. John Paul II​

Fowler recorded a hat trick in a 5-1 win over Barnstable/UCT/CCT.

Brielle O'Brien, Sandwich/BMC​

O'Brien made 18 saves for her first full-game career shutout in a 2-0 win over Falmouth.

Sammi Precourt, Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Cod Academy/St. John Paul II​

Precourt had 16 saves for a 4-0 shutout win over Barnstable/UCT/CCT.
