The ultra conservative approach needs to stop...it's obviously not working. At some point KM needs to grow a pair and start taking some downfield risks. Petz is clearly not the best OC in the world, but Kyler's propensity to constantly throw it 3-4 yards every single play is an indication that he doesn't want to hang in the pocket, because he's scared to get touched. I don't think it matters who the OC is...it all comes down to KM not being such a wuss.

It's a shame. I really thought we were gonna have a smashmouth offense. Kyler running more and the ability to hit timely deep shots. We have some big TE's and WR's that can wear down an opponent along with our ground game.

Our inability to run the ball is killing everything. Kyler rarely keeps the ball even when the DE goes inside. We don't roll him out as much as I thought we would. We aren't we throwing the ball up to McBride down the seam like the saints did. And who knows what's up with these Wr's. It's rare they are hit in stride on a rope and too many bucket balls giving DB's a chance to catch up or make a play.

Kyler’s decisionmaking on the RPUs is starting to look like self-preservation. There were a couple of plays where he’s got the ball in the rb’s gut, sees two defensive linemen crashing down on him, and doesn’t pull the ball. I was like “wtf?!? Does he understand what RPU means?”
