Coach P not concerned about anything
I don't understand answering like this at any level or job if there are noticeable issues.

Real coach speak would be, "We are never done and can always improve". Your whole job as a coach is to find ways to get better from game to game.

We will probably look good against the Titans who is another tomato can. If we lose though will it be concerning to this coaching staff?

Either JG completely whiffed on this offensive staff or Drew thinks the WRs suck/QB too short for his offense.

Say what you will about Drew, but he gives off "it aint on me" vibes.

You could be right. But if this doesnt change its definitely going to be his head on the chopping block. Gannon can only protect him for so long.

If the offense is stagnant again this week heads could roll quickly

petzing needs to do what nobody in their right mind would do - what the titans would never expect him to do lol 20 rushes in the first half alone

I posted this in the Benson thread but it really belongs here:

Days before the injury was announced, 98.7 was discussing a potential break out for Benson with Conner gone. They revealed this little factoid:

Take away the two longest runs for both of the Cardinals running backs and both were averaging 2.3 ypc. I did the math and that is correct. It doesn't really matter who runs, the results are the same.

The heart of the issue is the offensive line and the play calling. These are the tendencies through 4 games:

13 personnel: Passing 33% of the time.
12 personnel: Passing 60% of the time (rest of the league is 24.15)
11 personnel: Passing 80% of the time (rest of the league is 61.28%)

Behold the genius of Petzing. If Tip Reiman is on the field, it is a run. If he is not, it is a pass. That 12 personnel number is crazy.

In 2024 it's not as exaggerated but we still ran way less out of 12 and 11 personnel than the league average.

Rewatching the Seahawks game, the Seahawks had no fear of the run in 11 or 12 personnel. They ignored play action and teed off on Murray.

Yeah I mentioned this yesterday. Last year Conner averaged 4.5 YPC on first down this year 4 but like 2 in the SF game before he got hurt Benson is 1.9. Kyler is the only guy who is having success on first down rushing 6.1. Obviously we're not going to run Kyler too much he'll get hurt so the system Petzing runs with short drops and passes is totally dependent on getting close to 5 yards on first down so the 2nd and 3rd down are easier.

Because the OL is run blocking so poorly and plays are being tipped(Reimaned) we aren't able to run on first down to keep in 2nd and 3rd makable downs mode.

Benson is the leading rusher, we've played 4 games, he has THREE carries on 3rd down! That's because we're mainly in 3rd and too long to run so we throw.

So either throw more on first down or call more designed runs for Kyler on first down, or fix the OL

Gannon and company need to go. He’s too apathetic to be an NFL head coach. He says all the right things in interviews (which is why PHNX and other media outlets love him), but on game day he looks like a deer in the headlights. He just stands there, stone-faced on the sideline, no matter what’s happening - good or bad.
