Fernando Mendoza has never been afraid to do things his way, and that outlook applies to his stance on attending the NFL Draft.

USA TODAY Sports and others have reported that the projected number one overall pick has decided to watch the proceedings with his family in Miami, Florida, rather than at the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh.

There's precedence for the first selection being in the comfort of their abode during one of the biggest moments of their life. A pair of 2020s Jacksonville Jaguars number one overall picks also decided to watch the draft from their respective homes, in Travon Walker and Trevor Lawrence.
