The 2026 softball season has concluded, and it's time for postseason awards.

Gray's Creek advanced the furthest in the playoffs in the area and went down against Pinecrest in the fourth round of the NCHSAA playoffs after defeating South View in a classic third-round matchup.

South View's Jordynn Parnell showcased a historic season just before heading to compete in ACC play, breaking South View's single-season strikeouts record and surpassing 800 career strikeouts.

As we get into postseason awards, here are some nominees to vote among for the Fans' Choice 910Preps Softball Player of the Year award.

Voting will conclude on June 24.

Maddy Clark, South View —
Clark earned all-conference honors in the Eastern Sandhills. The senior catcher amounted to a .987 fielding percentage, 33 RBIs, and hit three home runs.

Addie Davis, Cape Fear — Davis earned first-team all-conference honors in the Tri-County league. The junior hit two home runs, hitting for a .467 batting average, and scored 33 runs.

Mahie-Fletcher Hao, Berean Baptist — The seventh grader played tremendously this season as a middle schooler. She ranked fourth in the state in batting average with a .745, stole 22 bases, and hit four home runs.

August Kebort, Gray's Creek — Kebort had a phenomenal junior season. The slugger knocked in 41 RBIs, hit seven home runs, scored 31 runs, and achieved a .512 batting average.

Solari Knight, Northwood Temple — Knight showcased a breakout freshman season for the Eagles. She helped lead a 13-4 team with nine home runs, a 1.500 slugging percentage for No. 8 in the state, and a .605 batting average.

McKinley Kolasa, Cape Fear — Kolasa, the Tri-County conference Co-Pitcher of the year, pitched three no-hitters, for No. 5 in the state, pitched 14 wins, hit six home runs, and struck out 79 batters.

Madisyn Norton, Jack Britt — Norton struck out 112 batters, hit two home runs, and batted in 16 runs as a sophomore.

Jordynn Parnell, South View — The Duke commit pitched a 0.61 ERA for No. 5 in the state and struck out 288 batters for No. 3 in the state with 18 wins for No. 12 in the state. She also hit nine home runs, scored 42 runs, and had 37 RBIs.

KK Swinson, Freedom Christian — Swinson held a .588 on-base percentage and led the Patriots with two home runs and 36 runs scored on the year.
