Former NFL star reveals what Caitlin Clark’s ‘issue’ was against the Las Vegas Aces.

Following an 86-84 overtime defeat at the hands of the Las Vegas Aces, the Indiana Fever have now fallen to the sixth spot in the WNBA, as they now have a 19-12 record.

Speaking of the two-point defeat vs. the Aces, Chelsea Gray sealed the game with a stunning buzzer-beating game-winner. However, the play before that featuring Caitlin Clark has become the biggest talking point of the clash.

Emmanuel Acho explains what was Caitlin Clark’s ‘issue’ against Las Vegas Aces

The Aces managed to nullify Clark’s impact by holding her to 20 points on a 7-of-20 shooting night. Combine that with 8 turnovers, and it’s a miracle that the Fever only lost by two points.

Coming to the controversial play before Gray’s game-winner, former NFL player Emmanuel Acho broke it down on X, explaining how Clark hunting for a foul and not returning on defense helped the Aces win.

“The issue isn’t with this turnover by Caitlin Clark (though she had 8). The issue is she didn’t get her butt off the ground and SPRINT to get back in the play!” Acho wrote on X.

He added, “Clark could’ve blocked Gray’s shot from behind or made her put the ball on the deck. She didn’t even get back in frame!”

As Acho pointed out, Clark’s lack of commitment on the defensive end of the floor gave the Aces a numbers advantage as the second-best team in the WNBA made the Fever pay for Clark’s mistake.
