Honestly I don’t care about any of this. He’s not going to be forced to sell, Goodell isn’t stepping in, and hopefully Keim moves forward and improved his life. Is any of this going to change Bidwill or McDonut? I dunno, and don’t care.
I do think the amount of judgement Keim gets on his personal life here is pretty lame.
Well…his personal life had significant negative effects on the product on the field. If a player did the same (for example say Matt Leinart) said player would be rightfully destroyed on these boards.

Why are we still posting about Keim? Is it too soon to put that behind us and start concentrating on the future? I know his past decisions still affect the team, but it's done and all we can do that will be effective now is to think positively and look to the future.

As the Cards' GM his run is over, good riddance. As a human being, may god bless him with all the help he needs to grow and improve as a human being, especially for his family and loved one's sake.

Those all seem like bigger issues than a happy ending in a Florida massage parlor and are much more on the radar of NFL owners.

Just my two cents here. Especially if it has gone on for a while.

Of course, I am hoping he gets the boot but...... I know that's the 1% shot at this point.

And regardless for us...... When Snyder sells, we will have the worst owner in the NFL again! Happy Days!
Before applying those disgusting terms to Michael, don’t you think we should wait until there’s at least an ounce of truth to them? McDonough is no choir boy & has very little credibility himself. We may have a crappy owner, but it’s just wrong to label him just yet.

i think the most disturbing thing to come out of this -- and this assumes Mike's version of events is true:

Mike learned Keim was subverting his suspension with burner phones, and kept him nevertheless.

Yeah, no reason for Keim to have been GM going into the 2019 season. Kliff most likely never had a chance jumping to HC so fast, but 0% chance with Keim at the helm.

Also we probably don't even hire him nor do we get Kyler. We probably take Bosa and have a good shot at Burrow the following year.

I know it's a lot of what it's, but it's plausible. All on Mikey. He's done nothing to earn the benefit of the doubt (as far as football related, I'm not quite on board believing any of the harassment, etc).

Absolutely. I’m just quoting what was alleged in the article. The ESPN article mentioned verbal abuse towards women, and racist language. All alleged in the complaint to the NFL. And the response by the team alleged that they knew of McD’s behavior towards employees and towards women.

Many here are just brushing it aside as…. ”There is no way he loses the team, this is the nfl” and other stuff like that.

I‘m only adding that, if proven true, (and all would have to be proven via multiple witnesses IMO) these are not the types of issues that the league could just brush off or bury.

That’s all I’m saying.

Wait… Bidwill admitted that the burner phone story is true but he was the one who put a stop to it?

Okay. Fine. Good job stopping your drunken piece of crap GM from circumventing your team imposed suspension given to him. Now answer me why the hell you’d let that insubordinate drunk piece of crap keep his job AFTER breaking the terms of his suspension as well?

This is ineptitude on a whole new level.
And did they report the attempt to break terms of suspension to the league?

on this whole thing [turn on old man rant]:

if feels like in the last ten years there have been a dramatic increase in the number of employees who consider direct negative feedback-- especially in public -- from their employer as harassment or abuse.

my cynical take on the McD claims are that if this were confined to a highly paid white guy complaining about how he was treated -- nobody would care as being in a highly paid position means you are expected to deal with stuff sent your way.

I’m not sure they would have to. It wasn’t an NFL suspension right?
It was one of those "we'll take care of it in house so you don't have to" suspensions. The NFL will not take it lightly if they effed up taking care of it in house and lied about it.

I think it's at least a little ironic that folks got upset when Kyler took the high road and made no public comments when being bashed about things, but also get upset when Michael lets it all fly, in his and the teams' defense of TMs accusations.

Did Michael go too far? Maybe....But I also wouldn't doubt he tried to handle everything in house first, but felt he had to go scorched Earth on TM, when warning shots were ignored.

read the whole thing: not a good look for Mike

on the other-- it sounds like Mike's defense might be that he isnt guilty of racial or gender discrimination because he treated everyone terribly
