5 of 6 predict the Suns in 6.

Interestingly, 4 of the 6 ESPN experts are picking the Mavs to beat the Hornets. What a story that would be. Redemption year for Dallas. The Hornets do have to be a little worried though. Dallas matches up with them well and JKidd seems to be able to slow down Chris Paul.

Everyone picks the Lakers over Denver, in either 5 or 6.

Everyone picks the Jazz over the Rockets.

Soooooooo.

If the ESPN experts are right, the most competitive first round matchup in the West will be the 2 seed vs 7 seed. Hmmmm.

It would produce a second round of

Dallas vs. Phoenix with the home court going to Phoenix.
LA vs. Jazz with the home court going to LA.

I would imagine that Phoenix and LA would be the favorites in those series leading to a Shaq vs. Kobe WCF. No, can't be. Someone would have to be orchestrating that. Its too much like a movie script.

Oh well. None of this happens unless we beat the Spurs. They can do it if they stay focused. But for this team, that is a big IF.

And they also predicted that The Patriots would go undefeated and win the Super Bowl.

How did that turn out?

I predict that douchebags trolls like you will be all over this board for the next few days, dumbing it down and making it look like a 3rd grade trash talk fest.

The spurs are a great team, so are the suns, good luck and have fun watching.

Experts had the Lakers as the 9th to 10th best team in the West this season.

Looks like the ESPN writers are jumping on the Suns bandwagon.

That or the "Spurs are finished" bandwagon.

have you looked around much? most the website is positive arguement and advanced thinking, not " ha ha pee on u we are good ha ha"

Actually I've been a longtime lurker of this forum and have seen nothing that can be called advanced thinking.

maybe, maybe not, not that bad of a word and 100% fitting with the content.

If so, oh well...ill be back when you guys go home crying.

So, I can call you a douchebag too.

I'm glad you cleared this up for me.

I'll make sure to use that more often around here, since you said it's okay and all that.

Experts had all 30 teams not being ******** and giving star players away.

That doesn't explain them being the best in the west, through the hardest part of the season, with Bynum instead of Pau.

Point is, experts know nothing. Say, you wouldn't be an expert, would you Bufalay? :p

that's because you probably don't think that Bruce Bowen is a dirty player. However, you have to agree that there isn't nearly as much unnecessary swearing and senseless trash talking on this board as on most others.

Is it not conceivable that the Lakers could have fallen to 8th or 9th without Pau? In fact, the way things played out, I wouldn't have been surprised if any one of the 8 playoff teams had fallen out.

I would have to say that the only thing that any reasonable person might have miscalculated regarding the preseason Lakers was underestimating Fisher's impact. Maybe some didn't expect Bynum to be the monster 13 ppg scoring machine that he was, but some progress had to be expected.

The Suns are a fashionable upset pick. You see those because every writer wants to show off how insightful he was if he nails an upset. Most upset picks don't pan out.

I'm hoping the Suns win, of course, but the smart money is on the Spurs. We go through this every year. The Suns are improved, but if the Spurs play to their potential, no one can beat them.

Yes, without Pau they would have fallen off, but that was due to injury, not general play. The experts were flat out wrong about the general play.

And yes, Fisher was a huge reason why. Smush vs. Fisher was good for maybe 10 games alone. Sasha, Bynum and Farmar improvment the rest.

But you have work to do with Spurs trolls right now. We can re-rehash this at a later date. :D

shouldn't your screen name be "midgetonadonkey's lovechild?" you post directly after him on each thread like you're following him around with a schoolgirl crush on him. it's cute. really it is.

The exact same thing could be said about the Suns.
