The veteran reporter will now continue appearing on Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown, NFL Live, SportsCenter, Get Up, First Take, The Pat McAfee Show, and ESPN’s coverage of the NFL Draft and Super Bowl.
Schefter welcomed the extension by reflecting on his long journey with the network. “It is the highest honor of my career to continue to get to work at ESPN,” he said.
Schefter’s reach extends well beyond television. His reporting is distributed through ESPN.com, the ESPN App, ESPN Digital, and his social media accounts, where he has more than 17 million combined followers.
So far in the 2026 offseason, Schefter has led coverage of several major stories, including the record sale of the Seattle Seahawks, draft developments, free agency, and league policy decisions. His reporting continues to shape the NFL news cycle before many teams or agents make official announcements.
