Athletes and community members gathered at Water’s Edge Park this weekend as Endurance Fest returned to the Coastal Bend with a packed schedule of races and activities designed to promote health, fitness, and community involvement.
Participants of all ages and skill levels took part in events throughout the morning, including a 2-mile walk, relay races, age-group competitions, and a half marathon. The event drew everyone from experienced runners to first-time participants looking to challenge themselves and enjoy the atmosphere.
For many runners, the event offered more than competition, providing an opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for fitness and staying active.
“We’re out here running all the time and this is one of the bigger races. It’s fun to see all these people come out and it’s fun especially to run with Wings of Texas to give everybody an opportunity to get out on the course,” one participant said.
Organizers say Endurance Fest has continued to grow each year, attracting more athletes and spectators while building a stronger sense of community around health and wellness.
Events like Endurance Fest not only provide competitive opportunities but also encourage residents to stay active and support local fitness initiatives. As runners crossed the finish line throughout the day, many celebrated personal milestones while others simply enjoyed spending time outdoors with friends, family, and fellow athletes.
Organizers say they hope the event continues growing and inspiring more community members to get involved in future races and fitness activities.
