Injured Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz watched from the dugout June 11 as the Dayton Dragons hosted the Fort Wayne TinCaps at Day Air Ballpark.

De La Cruz is on the 10-day injured list with a hamstring strain. He took infield June 10, and is scheduled for a followup MRI on June 12.

De La Cruz hasn't played since a win May 31 against Atlanta.

De La Cruz played for the Reds' High-A affiliate for 74 games in 2022. He batted .302 with 20 homers and an OPS of .968 in 306 plate appearances for the Dragons.

The Reds had a day off, and are scheduled to open a homestand June 12 against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
