Penn State has done an excellent job of rebuilding its reputation over the last few months. New coach Matt Campbell has been racking up the commitments, and now most things you hear about the school are overwhelmingly positive. From respected analysts rating the Nittany Lions as having one of the best offseasons to players raving about how well the program is run and how much the coaches care about them, everything seems to be trending upward for the team.

One of the cornerstones of the 2027 recruiting class is four-star cornerback Kei’Shjuan Telfair, who committed to Penn State last month. He recently spoke to 247Sports about his prospective school, telling a reporter, “They really want to develop me and get me to the next level.” He then went on to praise the program, saying, “[Coach Campbell] wants to start off with me, so I feel like making this decision was the best for me.”

Telfair was one of the key commitments from a strong recruiting run the Nittany Lions made last month, so these words are especially meaningful coming from him. His endorsements have the power to draw in more players for the future, which seems like a foregone conclusion at this point.

There were questions about how long it would take Campbell to bring the team back to respectability, but now it seems like a better question is how quickly he can take them back to the College Football Playoff. The coaching transition is going smoother than anyone could have predicted, and the sky could be the limit for the program.
