Cincinnati Reds infield prospect Edwin Arroyo hit his sixth and seventh home runs of the season and raised his batting average to .331 while lifting the Triple-A Louisville Bats to a 9-6 win May 8 against Nashville.

The 22-year-old Arroyo hit a solo homer in the sixth inning, and another in the eighth inning. Arroyo led off and played second base.

In addition to 11 starts at second base, Arroyo has started 23 games at shortstop and two games at third base.

Noelvi Marte added three hits in the Bats' win, and is batting .405 at Louisville.

The Reds acquired Arroyo, Marte and others in a 2022 trade with the Seattle Mariners for starting pitcher Luis Castillo.
