Conor Benn entered free agency after defeating Regis Prograis on Saturday, with his $15 million Zuffa Boxing deal covering just that single fight.

The British boxer is now open to new opportunities, although Zuffa Boxing are widely expected to push for a longer-term agreement.

Amid that situation, attention has turned to his relationship with Eddie Hearn, who was asked whether a reunion could still be possible.

Eddie Hearn says he feels ‘played’ and growing angrier at Conor Benn

Speaking on Cigar Talk, Hearn did not hold back when discussing Benn and admitted his frustration towards the British boxer has only increased.

He previously said he was ‘devastated’ when the 29-year-old signed with Dana White’s boxing promotion and appears to still be holding a grudge.

Hearn commented: “I’m getting angrier, because I’m watching his interviews, I’m like, ‘What the f—?’ I feel like I’ve been played. I’m listening to him like ‘What? Are you a compulsive liar or something?’ I’ve had you in my office on your knees in tears. I’ve actually gone to the depths even myself. But you know, I went for a couple of years of heavy stick. I was getting battered, and I was like ‘No, f— you. I believe in this kid.’

“So it’s actually making me more angry. And the fact is: he’s never tried to say ‘Listen, can we have a chat? Can we have a meet up?’ But honestly, if he did now, I’m not even sure what I do.”

His comments reflect a breakdown in trust, with Hearn making clear the situation has gone beyond simple business disagreements.

Conor Benn insists respect remains despite fallout with Eddie Hearn

Despite Hearn’s stance, Benn has taken a different tone in recent interviews.

He has insisted that he still loves and values his relationship with Hearn and other people at Matchroom Boxing.

The decision to sign with Zuffa Boxing was described as one focused on securing stability for his family.

Benn has also expressed hope that the two could eventually meet and resolve their differences.
