Eddie Hearn’s public fallout with Conor Benn is starting to get ugly.
Benn was one of several British fighters who made a name for themselves under the Matchroom banner. Others included Anthony Joshua, Lawrence Okolie, and Kell Brook.
Benn recently took part in an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. In it, he opened up about his split from Hearn and explained why he’s no longer signed to Matchroom Boxing.

Since the split, Hearn has been open about having financially supported Benn early in his career. But during a recent interview that went viral, Benn disputed those claims.
“He [Hearn] didn’t lend me a cent,” he said, referencing the legal issues he faced after two failed drug tests in 2022.
Speaking to iFL TV on Thursday, Hearn fired back: “I just actually think you might be a compulsive liar.”
“Either you are that deluded, or you’re just making up b——.”
Benn countered by saying he paid off his debts in full and accused his former promoter of trying to shape public opinion against him.
The dispute centres around two payments from Hearn to Benn: one for £250,000 meant for a house purchase and another £300,000 advance linked to the cancelled fight against Chris Eubank Jr. in October 2022.
Conor Benn’s Zuffa Boxing debut details
Conor Benn has reportedly signed a one-fight contract with Zuffa Boxing, set to pay him $15 million.
However, instead of headlining, he’s been placed in a 10-round bout on Tyson Fury’s return card.
Benn will take on Regis Prograis in the co-main event at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 11th.
Hearn raised concerns about the fight near the end of his nearly 18-minute rant about Benn.
“Regis Prograis shouldn’t even be in the ring because he’s that badly injured,” Hearn said. “Everybody knows about Regis Prograis. I’m not gonna discredit Regis Prograis or the fight. Everyone knows the situation.”
