With training camp still more than a month away, Denver Broncos players are currently on summer break.
After camp begins in late July, the Broncos will play three preseason games in August before setting a 53-man roster for the 2026 season. We've put together an updated 53-man roster prediction for Denver, and it features several tough cuts.
On offense, Tyler Badie didn't make it at running back as Jaleel McLaughlin wins RB4 duties in this early projection. All three of Lucas Krull, Dallen Bentley and Caleb Lohner are out at tight end, and it's hard to find room for Calvin Throckmorton, Matt Peart and Nick Gargiulo on the offensive line.
On defense, Matt Henningsen and Jordan Jackson are tough cuts in the trenches. At outside linebacker, Johnny Walker and Dasan McCullough could be sleepers to watch this summer. This early roster prediction does not include Jonathon Cooper because he could face a suspension from the NFL.
At inside linebacker, none of Taurean York, Lavelle Bailey nor Jordan Turner make it in this projection. In the secondary, cornerback Reese Taylor and safeties Miles Scott and JL Skinner are tough cuts.
This is, of course, just a prediction, and it will be subject to change during training camp and preseason. With that said, here is our projection going into the summer.
Denver's rookies are scheduled to report for training camp on July 22, followed by veterans reporting on July 28. The Broncos are set to kick off preseason on Aug. 14.
