PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Eagles rookie guard Jaeden Roberts suffered an apparent injury to his left leg during Saturday’s training camp practice at the Jefferson Health Training Complex. The injury occurred on the final play of the developmental period, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane. A cart was brought onto the field for Roberts, creating a concerning conclusion to the team’s third full practice of camp.

The Eagles had not immediately announced a diagnosis or provided a timetable for Roberts’ recovery. The severity of the injury will likely become clearer after he undergoes additional evaluation.

Philadelphia added Roberts as an undrafted free agent following the 2026 NFL draft. The former Alabama guard entered training camp competing for a developmental role along an offensive line that already featured significant competition for its reserve jobs.

Roberts’ size and experience in the SEC made him an intriguing prospect for Philadelphia. The 6-foot-5, 333-pound lineman was among several young interior blockers attempting to earn the coaching staff’s attention behind established starters Landon Dickerson and Tyler Steen. His competition included veteran Michael Jordan and younger linemen Willie Lampkin, Drew Kendall, Jake Majors and Micah Morris. Roberts also faced the challenge of demonstrating enough versatility to provide value at more than one interior position.

Any extended absence would cost Roberts important developmental repetitions during his first NFL training camp. Undrafted players often depend on practices and preseason games to build their cases for the 53-man roster or practice squad. The Eagles will await the results of Roberts’ examination before determining his status. Until the team provides additional information, the exact nature and severity of the injury remain unknown.
