PHILADELPHIA — The Eagles have cut ties with a pair of undrafted rookies who struggled to make an impact.


The Eagles released tight end Dae’Quan Wright and offensive lineman Jaeden Roberts in a flurry of Monday roster moves.


The Eagles also placed running back Elijah Mitchell on IR and signed running back Ja’Quinden Jackson, edge rusher Tarron Jackson and defensive tackle David Blay.


Wright, an Ole Miss standout, and Roberts, a three-year starter at Alabama, were thought to be savvy signings after both went unselected in the 2026 NFL draft.


Wright was a big-play machine at Ole Miss with 12 catches of 20-plus yards in 2025, one of just three tight ends in the draft class to reach that number.


Wright, an integral part of Ole Miss’ CFP run last year, flashed his athleticism in spring practices. But the 6-foot-4, 246-pounder didn’t show much in training camp.


The Eagles will move forward with Dallas Goedert, Johnny Mundt and Eli Stowers as roster locks. Cam Latu, Grant Calcaterra, E.J. Jenkins and Stone Smartt will fight for an extra spot on the roster, if the Eagles keep four tight ends.


Roberts, a 25-game starter for the Crimson Tide, was viewed as a Day 3 prospect and came to Philadelphia with some upside. But he never made good on it in camp.


Sixth-round rookie Micah Morris, Michael Jordan and Myles Hinton now have a better shot of making the roster behind Landon Dickerson, Tyler Steen and Drew Kendall.
