"Most of the league" have contacted the Miami Dolphins to inquire about cornerback Jalen Ramsey, according to a report from OutKick's Armando Salguero.
Specifically, Salguero says the Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, Washington Commanders, and Philadelphia Eagles are on the list of interested teams.
The Rams already confirmed their interest in a press conference last week when general manager Les Snead said he's had discussions with Miami and head coach Sean McVay said the team would "never rule out" a reunion with the corner.
The other teams on the list, all of which are in the NFC, aren't too surprising either. The Falcons are led by head coach Raheem Morris, who spent two years as Ramsey's defensive coordinator in Los Angeles. The Lions, Commanders, and Eagles are all Super Bowl contenders with plenty of reason (and the necessary cap space) to be aggressive in accruing veteran talent.
If Ramsey is traded during the 2025 NFL draft, the Dolphins would be set to eat $25.2 million in dead money for parting with the cornerback. By waiting until later in the offseason to send the defensive back elsewhere, that number would drop to just $6.7 million. But the drawback of that cost-saving delay could be a much lower return in a deal and a potential lack of interest, as teams will be freshly restocked with rookie talent.
