I just went through a "virus" hack and one of the results is I am left with evidence of my online accounts getting hacked. After contacting E Bay I received this message and offer. Anyone used this " Trusteer " program? Is it legit?

You are receiving this email because you reported seeing a web page
asking for sensitive personal and financial information. We believe that
you have a virus on your computer which is causing this behavior.

eBay has partnered with Trusteer to offer our members the Rapport
browser protection product for free. Rapport secures the communication
between your computer and eBay, preventing malicious software such as
viruses, Trojans and spyware from "seeing" or intercepting your
activities. You can read more information about this product and
download it directly here:

http://www.trusteer.com/ebay

As a reminder, you should either copy and paste this web address or open
a new browser window and type it into the address bar, rather than
clicking on a link in this (or any) email. You can also access this page
through the security center on eBay. Open a new internet browser window
and type in ebay.com, scroll to the bottom of the page, very near the
bottom is a link labeled Security Center, click this link. When the
security center loads, on the menu down the left side of the screen is a
link under the protect you computer heading labeled Free security
software, click here and the following page will contain a link to
download Trusteer Rapport .

Once Trusteer Rapport is installed you should be able to access and use
eBay as you normally do. The Rapport product will protect your account
information and the data transmitted out of your computer when you are
using eBay. Trusteer also works with more than 70 leading banks around
the world to keep your online accounts safe from fraudsters, Trusteer is
being used by more than 15 million people to pick up where anti-virus
and firewalls leave off, preventing new, sophisticated internet attacks.

Trusteer is made to neutralize any infection or malware on your computer
affecting eBay; however it does not remove the virus or malware. There
are many different viruses/Trojans/Malware which are continually
evolving and changing what they do to your computer and/or what data is
trying to be taken from you. Trusteer will protect you on eBay but the
infection may have other functions that may still be affecting your
computer, this can range from altering other website you visit, to
transmitting keystrokes out of your computer, to making windows run
slowly or causing pop up ads trying to steal your money or information
by selling you fake products.

You need to run a full virus scan on your computer with a completely up
to date virus program. If you already have a virus product installed
open the program, make sure that you are running the newest version and
that the virus definitions are currently and then run a full system
scan. If you do not have any virus software on your computer or it is
out dated, eBay recommends you either purchase a new anti-virus program
or use Microsoft’s free anti-virus program called Microsoft's Security
Essentials. You can find more information and download Microsoft's
Security Essentials here:

http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Once installed it will automatically do a "quick scan" of your computer.
Please select "full scan" and remove any infections found. Please also
use the default automatic updating to ensure that the anti-virus stays
up-to-date with the latest protections/detections.

eBay recommends the following steps to protect yourself from further
infections:

1. Enable Windows Update to automatically keep your system up-to-date
against vulnerabilities used by the bad guys to install viruses, Trojans
and spyware. Windows Update will be enabled by default if you install
Microsoft's Security Essentials.

2. Regularly visit Adobe's website to keep your Acrobat Reader and Flash
up to date against vulnerabilities used by the bad guys to install
viruses, Trojans and spyware.

3. Never update either Windows or Adobe products because a pop-up tells
you it's necessary. If in doubt, visit the vendor's website to check for
updates.

4. Upgrade your web browser to the latest version (IE users can get IE8
optimized for eBay by visiting the eBay Security Center and clicking
"Internet Explorer 8 optimized for eBay" under "Choose a Topic").

If Trusteer is installed on your computer and you are still having
problems signing in to your eBay account or are still seeing a page
asking for personal information please contact trusteer support at
www.trusteer.com/support/report-problem .

eBay is neither a computer manufacturer or a anti-virus/anti-malware
vender. If your computer is still exhibiting signs of an infection you
should contact your computer manufacturer, Anti-virus Company, or take
your computer to a reputable repair shop.

If you have vista or windows seven I suggest using the combo of windows security essentials and windows defender.

It's free.
