Well this is exciting: after Fox and the Big Ten had a hissy fit about Duke scheduling Michigan in Madison Square Garden, arguing that they they should get a cut of the take from Amazon Prime, it looked like it might be a snag.

We first suggested moving it out of the shared territory of New York (the Big Ten has Rutgers, while the ACC has Syracuse, and later thought Miami would be a great location.

Well, it never occurred to us that they’d move it to loanDepot park, home to the Miami Marlins.

Barring a last-minute snag, that’s exactly what they’re going to do.

The stadium, which has a retractable roof, seats up to 37,742 for baseball, and up to 34,000 for football.

Basketball is a different proposition. The playing surface is obviously much smaller. There’s going to be a lot of potential seats around the court, and that could up the potential audience significantly.
