Former Duke star and No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Paolo Banchero, recently participated in an offseason workout with a future basketball Hall of Famer, Kevin Durant.
Durant and Banchero were dribbling, getting up shots and working on new moves in the mid-post. A career 31.7% shooter from beyond the arc and a career 74.3% free throw shooter, Banchero could learn a lot from Durant, who has shot 39% from 3-point range and 88% from the line over his 18-year NBA career.
Last season with Orlando, the former Blue Devil averaged 22.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.6 blocks. Although Banchero had a breakout postseason campaign, including a 38-point effort in Game 7 against the Detroit Pistons, Magic fans are still waiting on the 23-year-old to take a bigger leap heading into his fifth season after earning his lone All-Star selection during his sophomore campaign.
