The Orlando Magic looked to become the seventh No. 8 seed in NBA history to defeat a No. 1 seed Sunday, facing off against the Detroit Pistons in a pivotal Game 7.

As usual, Orlando was led by former Duke star Paolo Banchero, who put on another incredible performance. Banchero finished with 40% of the team's points, scoring 38 to go along with nine rebounds, six assists and one block.

Unfortunately, only three more of his teammates scored in double figures, with their second-highest scorer (Desmond Bane) finishing with just 16. As a result, the Magic lost, blowing a 3-1 series lead in the process.

For the series, Banchero averaged an impressive 26.3 points, nine rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.7 steals. This included an unreal 45-point game in Game 6.

Looking ahead, Banchero's five-year max extension will kick in next season, as he remains tied to Orlando until at least the 2030-31 season.
